Orit Ethiopian Restaurant and Bar, located at 388 Wandsworth Rd, Nine Elms, is a gem for anyone seeking an authentic Ethiopian dining experience. Customers rave about the flavorful dishes and the generous portion sizes, often citing it as their go-to spot in London. Jeremy Irwin, a loyal patron for six years, appreciates the consistent quality and welcoming atmosphere, highlighting the delightful ownership. First-timers are also captivated by the charm of Ethiopian cuisine. Judith Morgan shares how the staff guided her and her daughter through the menu, suggesting a mixed platter that showcased a variety of well-presented dishes. The emphasis on communal eating and the vibrant ambiance encourages guests to savor every moment. Although some patrons hint at a slower service pace, they find it enhances the overall dining experience, especially while sampling Ethiopian beers. The mixed platter offers a delightful introduction to many flavors, but newcomers like Silvia Albino wished for more staff guidance. However, the warmth of the staff and the high quality of the food keep them coming back. Whether you're a seasoned Ethiopian food lover or a curious novice, Orit delivers a heartfelt culinary journey that is not to be missed.

A bit rough and ready but easily my favourite Ethiopian place in London. Have been going for 6 years since I moved to London. Still trek here for dinner even though I no longer live round the corner. Wonderful owners. Flavours, portions and quality are always consistently great.

Never had Ethiopian cuisine before. It was superb! I came with my daughter who is a fussy eater. The waitress was helpful and knowledge in regards the content of the menu. She suggested we go for a combination so that we could have a selection and a sample of the delicious dishes. It came well presented. No cutlery but no cares, we went for the experience and the ambiance (having peeked though the windows before entering). Food cooked passionately with perfection. My daughter also loved it. Don't expect to eat and run. The service is slow but please stay to chill and sample the Ethiopian beers.

The food was delicious and the staff was super nice. The mixed platter was a good way to taste different dishes, tho I wouldn’t get that again, because some were definitely better than other. Overall, it was a lovely dinner and will be back. Only thing, I would have loved some more explanations about what I was eating. And I would have loved some more suggestions from the staff, as it was my first time eating Ethiopian. But I’ll be back!!
